It sounds like we are somewhat in the same situation, alone for the holidays (me without family, anyway) and with depression and anxiety. I started going to a new church though, and I'm starting to make some good friends. They are in tune with the community and with single people (I'm a widow). I went to a community dinner they had for Thanksgiving, and tomorrow they are having a gift exchange that I'm going to. It makes me feel less alone. If you find a place like that in your community, I'm sure you will find a friend.
