I think that you have already answered your own question; from what I am reading here.
You cannot change someone, they have to want it for themselves. And if after 3 years.....
God wants you to have respect, and love, that you deserve. Bottom line. If you are having the same issues with this man, and it's so 1 sided....that's NOT love, as it is intended.
Be brave! Do what you know that you need to do, and what Our Lord would want for you!
